Message for Thursday 17 April 2025 • Patience • "April is the cruelest month," said T S Eliot. I'm not sure what he meant, but this year the emotionally painful Venus conjunct Saturn aspect extends, by a narrow 3 degree orb, from April 1 through May 1. By the longer 10 degree orb it goes from March 22 through May 13. It is not fun. It is hard both emotionally and financially. The Trumpian tariffs have rolled the stock market. As far as love goes, it doesn't seem to go very far, that is, romance and friendship are on the rocks. I tell you this so you will not just blame yourself. Your loved one is also going through emotional pain and can't help being more introverted and less responsive. Thursday's symbols: 1 A person is sitting in a dark room at a table, with books, papers and mathematical instruments distributed around him promiscuously. There is concentration, but seemingly little benefit from mental work. 2 A man in armor bearing a shield is secure. He is prepared against danger. Dauntless, he surmounts the machinations of enemies. He is faithful and just, defended by the goodwill of friends. 3 A Daughter of the American Revolution trusts in the established traditions which grant her her inheritance. 4 A celestial choir is singing. Despite the introductory paragraph, Venus and Mars are in a long-term trine, mildly effective now but gaining in strength and continuing through May and into June. People are feeling love but it is still muted and not easily expressed, with much sensitivity.
