• Turmoil Calming • 1 To those who still don't believe in the importance of Mercury Retrograde: Note that Donald Trump imposed his tariffs on April 2 while Mercury was retrograde and then rescinded them the following week after Mercury turned direct on April 7. 2 But Venus remains retrograde until late Saturday night. It is quite rare for both these planets to be retrograde or slow at the same time. The latest previous occurrence was August 2023. This time, it was the infamous Trump tariff fiasco. 3 China and the US are in a trade war. From April 7th through 12th Jupiter is in the Sabian degree "Two Chinese men talking Chinese." Make of that what you will. 4 Shall the coming week be more normal than recent weeks? Let's hope. Probably. 5 Yet Mercury's Dark Hermetic Epoch continues until April 26th, and from the 21st through the 23rd Venus shall be in the Borelli-Sepharial degree "an earthquake." Let's not take that literally but it's a clue that Out-of-Pattern incidents shall continue. 6 Hard Venus-Saturn aspects are challenging financially, and Venus clings to her conjunction with Saturn through May 5th. Patience and thrift! Also, health issues can flare up and then subside. 7 Likewise, love and friendship are often on a rocky road. However, Venus's long-lasting trine with Mars lasts through the rest of April and May into June. That can save the day for us over and over again. Smiles and little kindnesses are extra-important as mood-enhancers. 8 The karmically tough third of this week ends about 4 pm PT Friday.
