Messages for Weekend of May 30th and 31st, 2026
0 Venus's hard aspects with Saturn are generally melancholy, mournful, sad. One is given to the questions "Who loves me, and whom do I love? How loyal and secure is that love?" One can be extremely lonesome. Venus is square Saturn from May 20th through June 6th, at its peak from Wednesday the 27th through this weekend. Scripture reading is recommended. Some passages are Challenging and some are Comforting. We need both. God's love may seem a substitute for or supplement of human love, but at best it also guides us kindly through all human friendships and relationships. Love is eternal.
1 "On the cushion of a throne a dog lies asleep." To some, hard work and care are foreign and distasteful. (Well after all, today is the Sabbath.) By watchful strategy they attain positions for which they are not qualified, and could appear spiteful charlatans.
2 "An airplane is falling," but the dive could be righted, re-establishing control of the flight. The keyword is Crisis.
3 "A woman of pleasing appearance offers a glass of fluid to a child." Some are kind, sympathetic, hopeful and inspiring, inclined toward self-sacrifice. The keyword is Healing.
4 "A monster gourd arises spontaneously from beneath the soil, growing visibly." One's fortunes seem propelled by magic power.
5 "A Christmas tree decorated" represents "achievement of complete self-satisfaction through a simple sharing of one's potentials with one's fellows." The keyword is Symbolization.
6 "A baronial mansion in a spacious park abounding with gigantic trees" is inhabited by a student of antiquity who takes but little interest in new inventions--a profound scholar with sound judgment.
Moon in Scorpio is void-of-course until entering Sagittarius at 5:46a PT.
Sunday 31st::
"It was a vain unnecessary world
Whose will to be brought poor and sad results
And meaningless suffering and a grey unease.
Nothing seemed worth the labour to become.
But judged not so his spirit's wakened eye.
As shines a solitary witness star
That burns apart, Light's lonely sentinel,
In the drift and teeming of a mindless Night,
A single thinker in an aimless world
Awaiting some tremendous dawn of God,
He saw the purpose in the works of Time.
Even in that aimlessness a work was done
Pregnant with magic will and change divine."
Sri Aurobindo, Savitri, pp. 137-8
Moon in Sagittarius goes void-of-course at 6:22a PT
