Messages for Weekend of May 2nd & 3rd, 2026
Saturday 2nd:
•Unusual Day of Rumination •
Some things may be delayed in painful ways, as if "an anchor is unattached to any vessel's chain," or a cable is broken. But Christ Jesus and His Father are firm anchors if affirmed and held to in faith.
Though today is a Sabbath for many, still some unusual labor may be needed or advisable. But since the moon is void-of-course all day the effort should be directed to previously settled agendas.
"A man is handling baggage." All functions in society are of equal value in fulfilling a person's need to be useful. His Industry is an effective virility of interest in normal living.
"A dog carrying a bone is chased by another." Oh, is that the meaning of Chase Bank? There could be envy and selfishness. Rather, we should pursue things near at hand and attainable.
Sensuousness and satisfaction of appetites is one trend in "a group of vagrants or gypsies seated around a cauldron in which food is preparing." They wander over the world, never satisfied with things as they are, leaving golden opportunities behind. Or, less dramatically, you may enjoy a catered meal or festive occasion.
"An empty hammock" suggests "maximum potential for inner reorientation and outer readjustment" resulting in poise and balance. The keyword is Rumination.

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
-- Matthew 22:36-39
