• Endurance •

1 Subtlety is the keyword for "a snake coiled around a tree, its head raised." It will not strike if unprovoked. It is cunning and patient, a "researcher" into what could be advantageous. 

2 "A bull tossing a man with its horns" is more dangerous, because though justifiably defensive it tends to being too aggressive. It might represent someone selfish in your life. 

3 I'm not predicting weather, but "men are working in the engine room of a large steamer, almost nude because of the heat." Charubel advises us to adopt a quiet, settled, uniform mode of living without great responsibilities. 

4 This symbol was prominent on the fateful day of 9/11/01: "Two men are fencing with swords. A man in black stands aside watching them." Sepharial warns that some will be "involved in some fracas in a foreign country or with a foreigner, liable to hurts from secret enemies." (What happened then does not have to happen again.)

The Current Mercury Cycles 

It's a good moment to pause and survey the current flow of Time on our planet. 

Mercury was retrograde from June 29th through July 23rd. Now we may feel we are climbing the stairs from a basement while brushing away cobwebs. There is gradual liberation from chaos and confusion. 

Yet the longer-lasting Dark or Slow Hermetic Epoch, incorporating the three-week retrograde cycle within it, began June 13th and lasts until August 7th. It might be termed Mercury Retrograde Lite. That planet is still moving very slowly. 

Then from August 7th through October 3rd we'll be in a Bright Hermetic Epoch of about two months. There are some challenging aspects during that period, but planning can be well articulated. (More later.) 

In an unusual planetary situation, the daily chart for Saturday shows five of the six planets employed to be in the same degrees they occupied on Friday. You might reread the Friday report. The new degree-symbol for Saturday is; "An old white-headed man surrounded by happy children." A long life is invested with the comforts of homely affection. There is a kind, benevolent and fatherly interest in those of tender years. The patient man is much beloved. The keyword is Guardianship.

 Clarification! 

Things will get better and less confusing (a) after Mercury turns direct at 4:00p PT and (b) after the moon, entering Sagittarius, shall no longer be void-of-course, starting at 6:08p PT (that's late on Thursday 7/23).  

Till then, meditate and pray and let tentative planning percolate without any hurry. 

After that, go easy still, because a Dark or Slow Hermetic Epoch continues until August 7th. That's something like Mercury Retrograde Lite. Progressive, yet snail-like.

4 "A veiled statue" denotes "the gradual unfoldment of the sublime and the glorious." What is great and lofty fires one with enthusiasm. The keyword is Mystery. 

5 "A large archaic volume" embodies "the ultimate indestructibility of experience, so that any path once traversed may be taken again with a greater ease and broader self-discovery." The keyword is Background. 

6 "An old man cutting grapes in a vineyard" has exercised providence over his means. Through his long life he reaps rich fruitage of foresight and prudence.
