• Vanity • 0 I have not heard Donald Trump’s speech at this writing. I assume he'll be speaking about Ukraine and about tariffs, all of which are getting much blah-blah cast around them and not much enlightenment. The symbols given out in the Tuesday report were spot-on. "A cameo profile of a man in the outline of his country" could include Justin Trudeau, who gave a memorable response to the new Trump tariffs (watchable for free on WSJ). Wednesday: 1 It feels to me that we are all "looking through the large end of a telescope" at events and people. Everybody seems to be wrong or silly while I am the magnified one. The Zelensky-Trump tug of war is an example. Also Trudeau-Trump. Are all of us boasters, traducers, egotists, slanderers? 2 A bull threatens a man with its horns. Many seem aggressive or selfish. "Whatever I can get is my own." Sheer wilfulness is not ultimately rewarding. 3 "Two swords crossing each other" indicate quarreling or litigation. All except the depraved or suicidal want the Russia-Ukraine war to end. 4 Who--Zelensky, Putin, or Trump--shall be "covered with gorgeous decorations and ornaments, standing in a garden, enjoying himself amazingly, with self-admiration"? I'd say Trump. Fortune smiles on him and he is vain as a peacock.
