Somehow we are all taken care of by merciful providence; there is Provision. 2 There are hierarchies of allegiance. An officer is preparing to drill his men. There have been silly predictions by feckless European leaders of "boots on the ground" when they know their populations would not consent to being victims in World War III. In our personal lives we could cultivate efficiency and preciseness. 3 It certainly is fortuitous that one of today's symbols is "The president of the country" because it happens that this evening Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a major speech to a joint session of both houses of Congress. He will be trying to idealize the nation to itself. 4 "A cameo profile of a man in the outline of his country" is highly relevant in that Trump, Putin and Zelensky are all being so highlighted in the world's consciousness.
