¤ Insight and Dedication ¤ 1 A squirrel hiding from hunters is not pusillanimous but smart. He "refuses to enter any phase of experience where the risks are out of proportion to probable rewards." Caution is an important component of good judgment. 2 The squirrel stays away from The Union Jack, preferring to mind his own business than engage in politics or be subservient to it. But some love that symbol of protection within the organized nation. Nationalism is coming into its own. 3 A crystal gazer may or may not have actual psychic powers, but can see how the world and each individual reflect each other. Thereby she or he has a foreview of every possible mood or situation. Her acuteness is consummate insight into organizing the course of events in the light of immediate convenience. 4 Whence cometh immortality? Perhaps from some sort of apostolic succession, or a matrix sustained by purity in motive and expression. "Men are seeking illumination." The human self must devote itself to its potentialities to be itself. Real dedication is high accomplishment in an effective alignment with ultimate reality. ¤ Wednesday ¤ Insight and Dedication ¤ Cosmic Piper Moon in Scorpio
